Nuances and pitfalls

Bardage (n. m.) or enduit (n. m.)? The bardage is an applied skin, fixed mechanically; the enduit is a mortar applied directly on the wall.

Bardage and vêture. A bardage leaves a ventilated air gap; a vêture is a prefabricated system fixed on the insulation, with no ventilated gap: the two look alike from a distance.
